Each year, the Lythos team devotes some of their time to helping out a local non-profit or charitable effort. This year, we were able to help Reveille UMC in developing a branded look for its annual 5K race to be held in April. The race itself is organized to benefit the children of Richmond's Swansboro Elementary School. By combining Reveille's logo with the Swansboro mascot, the dolphin, we were able to give the race a fun and professional look for all of its promotional materials, including t-shirts, posters, postcards and even a Facebook page. Lythos Studios designed and built this website as part of a client's issue advocacy campaign. In addition to the customized design, the site includes an interactive calculator that allows the user to send a personalized message to legislators. Click here to view the website.
Lythos Studios has been exploring the world of Augmented Reality. No, this doesn't mean we've been visiting our plastic surgeons. Augmented Reality is the overlaying of digital information onto T.V. and smart phone screens or even real world objects. Augmented Reality has already changed the way we watch sporting events. Football fans may know it best as the "yellow first down line" or the more recently added "down and distance" information displayed on T.V. screens during games. Moving forward, Augmented Reality may change the way you choose a restaurant, find the nearest wi-fi hotspot or learn about an historic site you are visiting on vacation. As of right now, Augmented Reality appears to provide little return on investment for your typical small- to mid-sized business, but it is certainly a technology to keep your eye on as further development occurs. Check out this article at Wired.com for more information on Augmented Reality.
Lythos Studios has taken great care of me over the years and I've trusted them to complete my projects on time and on budget.
